Audio Tools That Run in the Browser Tab

A spectrum analyser, an equaliser with a frequency trainer, a visual compressor, a masking finder and a step sequencer. Open a page, load a file, hear the result. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is installed.

A BrynSonic project.

Everything runs in the tab. Your audio is never uploaded, there is no account to make, and nothing here costs anything.

Why the Audio Never Leaves the Tab

Every tool here is built on the Web Audio API, which the browser runs locally. When you choose a file, the page reads it with FileReader and decodes it in memory. No request is made, so there is no server to send it to and nothing to store.

That also makes the tools fast: analysis of a four-second loop takes a few milliseconds, and a change to a filter is heard at once rather than after a round trip.

The trade-off is honesty about limits. Nothing is saved between visits, and files larger than a few minutes will use a lot of memory.

Start with a Guide

The tools measure; the guides explain what the measurements mean. If you are new to spectral work, begin with reading a spectrum analyser, then finding mud between 200 and 400 Hz.
